Premiere Week Sunday and Monday

Before I start in on this week in TV, I just want to apologize. I had planned on writing a blog per day for all the shows. However, this week was just crazy and I literally just caught up with most of it. So the first week may not be as great as it should be, but I will at least give you a thumbs up and down.

Army Wives- I was a little disappointed! Pamela's stalker storyline finally came to a close, and it was not a good end. To be honest, I hate scary stuff and all that jazz, but this stalker was so low key. Yes her stalker has been to her home, and in contact with her kids; but he just randomly shows up at Betty's and Pamela see's the rose tattoo and bam he's caught. Seriously? Not a fan of that. Trevor's growing addition really shows us what soldiers are going through. It is killing him that he is home with his family, while his unit is still over in Iraq fighting. Yes, he wants to be home with Roxy and the boys, but he thinks it is unfair while his unit is still fighting and away from their families. It really shows how close units in the military are. The diplomat and how he attempted to rape Claudia Joy, I think could of had more of a storyline. It was almost like it was just thrown in there for extras. General Holden did take it seriously, but I feel it could have been a major part of the episode rather than more of a backstory.

I am in love with the direction they are taking with Denise. It is showing a woman going through her "midlife crisis". I would not call it midlife crisis, but that is the best way to describe it. This is a woman who was her husband's wife, a woman who quit her job to fully take on her responsibilities as a wife and mother. Now as her husband and son are soldiers and are away, she can finally be her own woman. She now is back at the hospital picking up her nursing career and having her own life while her husband is overseas. This is really the first time she is out there and living since she married Frank. Yes, she had an emotional affair and a kiss with Finn. And she was deeply sadden by his death. It seems like Denise resent Frank for making her give up her nursing and life. So with the resentment, she fell for another man who was willing to let her explore herself. I can't wait to see as she goes further into her self discovery.

How I Met Your Mother- Hilarious as always. I really do not think Stella is the woman for Ted. If we found out already who he marries then well the title is done and may in fact be a way to Jump the Shark. Unless the twist is, the mother of his kids isn't his first wife. Who knows? I do find it sad that he doesn't know a single thing about the woman he is to marry.

If Marshall doesn't get a job soon, that is going to get boring as hell. The stupid shit he does will only be funny for a little bit, not forever. Lily really didn't play a big part in the episode besides being a counselor for Barney. Speaking for Barney, I personally like the spin in things. I just don't know how much it would work in the show. If Barney wasn't a womanizer, his character would be completely different. Robin doesn't see him like that, she does see the softer side, but doesn't believe it. And obviously Barney can't give up on sleeping with random women. So a relationship with Barney and Robin, won't work yet.

Big Bang Theory- Leonard and Penny dating is funny. Sad that Penny doesn't think she is smart enough to date Leonard and felt the need to lie that she graduated from community college. Sheldon played a major part in this episode and he was utterly hilarious. The writing on this show is just hilarious. The lines and comebacks are just perfect. I liked how the relationship between Leonard and Penny wasn't perfect, because that would not have worked and would have made the show dumb. The camera in the hallway was hilarious. I literally laughed pretty much from open to close of the show. I look forward to seeing how the possible dating of Leonard and Penny unravels this season.

Two and a Half Men- First Jake is so grown up, and hilarious as a "typical teen". I loved the storyline of this episode. From the opening season of Charlie see a former lover with a child, that was dressed just like him, and named "Chuck". To the tail end when it turned out the former lover was just a babysitter who's client looked like Charlie and she just played Charlie for money. I loved the one liners throughout the episode, including pharmacist Russell and even Jake. This show always make me laugh. They always push the line in comedy and I love it. The ending with all the delivery people looking like Jake was priceless.

Gossip Girl- The most shocking part of the episode was that The Duchess is having an affair with her stepson. And I hated that Blair made arrangements and didn't tell Vanessa so the plans blew up. And seriously Dan and the new girl? I mean I know all the relationships can not be perfect or we would stop watching. And then how Blair tries to be a good friend and ruin the new girl. Only to learn the new girl was hired by Chuck. It is a twisted web that we are all stuck in because we turn in every week to see how it's gonna play out.

Not happy with the way they are trying to play Serena as the new head of Evil over Blair. You can see the areas where Serena still is good, but then she tries to out do Blair and be evil. I liked Serena being nice and with Dan. The mean evil bitch doesn't suit her. Blair played the mean evil bitch quite nicely. Serena will never win Dan back if she maintains her mean streak.

I am intrigued to figure out how Jenny is going to play into this season, because she is back to being nice, and not part of that whole mean Blaired headed group. Which I think better suits her, but no clue where she is going to fit in. I can already see us, viewing her struggles as she tries to reclaim her life and her good nature.

I can also see that the adults on the cast are going to play a major part this season. There is something up with Bart and Lily, seeing as Lily is drawn to Rufus again. And now that Dan and Serena are over, who knows how that will play out. Eleanor will be around this season too playing favorites to Serena over her own daughter Blair. So it'll be interesting to see how they blend the teen and adult story lines.

One Tree Hill- Last season when OTH skipped ahead four and a half years, a lot of people were skeptic. However, I think it was the best thing this show could have ever done. This show is so well written. One of my favorites in the long week of TV watching. I have to admit I was utterly shocked when Quention was killed. I know that was last week's episode and not this week, but I want to revist both episodes, since this week's was the aftermath. I cried like a baby during last week's episode and I had known Quention was going to be killed. I have a guilty habit of reading spoliers and I couldn't stop from reading OTH's. I have stopped reading them, but it just goees to show how powerful the episode was seeing as I knew and still cried like a baby.

The narrative spoken during last week's episode from new student Samantha Walker, was in one word Amazing. It was so well written, and so heart felt. That narrative truly drove the whole episode, talking about a great boy who never had a chance to become a man. And how she was jealous of the people that knew him because of all that she has learned about him in the days after his death. This new teen seems to be a troubled and in need of a friend, but is not willing to accept it. I really felt for her.

I liked how they remembered the roots of the OTH and mentioned in it how the now adults of the show once dealt with the death of a fellow student. The were recalling the school shooting episode and losing friend and fellow student Jimmy. It was big for Lucas to mention it, seeing as how hard it was for him losing Keith. It was a good tie in to show that all the adults in the series could relate to the teens.

The show also stepped into something new with showing a small child dealing with the death of a friend. His friend may have been older by a decade and a half, but he was a friend. I am interested to see how Jamie works through this.

We also saw Deb admitting her relationship with Skills, because he needed her in a time of need at the funeral and she didn't care that Nathan saw. This tied into this week's episode and Nathan firing Deb as Nanny and ultimately as Mom. And as much as Deb has put Nathan through, she shows she will give up her happiness just to make Nathan happy. I never thought that Skills really liked Deb, thought it was purely sexual, until I saw Skills face when Deb ended things. So I was happy when Nathan "gave permission" to Deb to be with Skills.

Carrie is crazy as hell, and as much as Dan has done he does not deserve this treatment. It was nice to finally see why Carrie is crazy and wants Jamie. She must have lost a son and now wants to replace him with Jamie. It is still creepy as hell though, and I can see that blowing up hardcore this season.

I really think that this Mick Wolf guy is Peyton's real dad. Whenever she mentions that she hopes that he is, he never answers. And he did know Ellie. When Mia told Peyton originally someone knew Ellie on tour, I always thought it was Peyton's real dad.

Brooke is going through hell. I can't believe she actually was willing to give up Clothes Over Bros. I mean Clothes Over Bros started in high school and she saw it from the ground up. It was a sad story, Victoria telling her she wanted a company and never wanted a daughter. So Brooke gave her the company and disowned her. So sad! I am eager to see if she really gave over the company and if so what will happen to her.

I have to admit here for the blogging world to see, I have always been a Lucas and Peyton fan. So I am utterly happy they are together, but we never really see them together. When you are engaged to be married, you spend time together. Especially when they just went through what they went through.

Q's mom talking to the team was priceless, she is played as such a strong woman. Any woman that can make a speech like that to a team in pain, as she is grieving the loss of her son, is strong. I loved how Lucas played with 4 players on the court, and the short conversation with the ref; Ref "Coach, I can't let you play 4 unless the rest your players are hurt" Lucas "All my players are hurt that is why we are playing with 4" Ref "Let's Play Ball". I mean it was one of the most moving scenes. Knowing full well they are going to lose the game, but playing down a player because they are healing and mourning the loss of a great friend and player. And the strength of the team saying to Lucas after the game that they want to play with 4 the rest of the season. It shows that they were not only a team but a family. And they are respecting a fallen brother.

Like I said this show is very well written, and the plot line is moving along into this adult world. I have to admit I was a skeptic too when they jumped ahead years. I knew it was either going to be the new blood they needed or the death. And it was the new blood, because I can barely wait a week to see the next episode.

Worst Week-So this show has a hilarious plot line. I love the idea that no matter what Sam does it turns out worse than he intended. I seriously laughed the whole time. I fear there is only so far this show can go before we all stop tuning in. It is funny for everything to go wrong for so long. After awhile we are gonna be able to predict it. It's no longer going to be funny. So for the time being I give it two thumbs up and look forward to see how they unfold this one.

My other Sunday and Monday shows have not premiered yet. And I will be back to finish the rest of premiere week. So stay tuned...
